Or is it pot luck . You will be allocated a boarding time based on your cabin type/location or cruise points. We've always travelled Aqua Class so can turn up anytime, we tend to go within the first hour. Worked OK first cruise and we boarded with little queueing, 2nd cruise they had problems with the boarding ramp and everyone was held up.

theZsatsea Posted June 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2017 We will be sailing on the Eclipse TA leaving Southampton on October 28th. Since we are on a private cruise-tour, we will be arriving at the terminal by coach from the London airport with no stops. Are there any shops in the terminal where we can purchase wine and other items? If so, is the wine reasonably priced? I ask because we found the prices in the wine shop in the San Juan terminal to be as high or higher than on the ship we were doing a B2B on. Thanks

Thanks Answer if you are arriving on the same day as embarkation NO. at least no easy one. If you have some other people, there is a place just up the street basically behind the Ibis hotels , which sells by the case only.

DYKWIA Posted June 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 7, 2017 We have sailed 3 times from Southampton with Celebrity. Each time we have arrived between 1200 and 1330 hours. First time 1230 - busy, second time 1330 - ok, third time 1200 - quiet. Even in the worst case it didn't take us more than 30 mins or so and that includes the security checks (removing belts etc). We find this time ideal as cabins are available from 1300 so you're not hanging around with your hand luggage. Southampton weather is rarely great for sunbathing and the views from the ship are less than inspiring.

Thanks Hi to a neighbor & GO CAVS- Even though you are with a group come on over to our roll call: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2281464 Regarding wine in Southampton near the cruiseport- why not drop your bags then take a cab to a nearby Marks & Spencers or Sainsbury's, purchase your wine and then proceed to check-in? As far as check-in time, we plan on getting to the terminal 11ish. We've done so previously on the Eclipse out of Southampton- once from a hotel there and the other from London via private transfer. maadimom Posted June 7, 2017 #9 Share Posted June 7, 2017 We were on the Eclipse in May. Our email said to arrive at 2:30. We got there at 11:00 and we're onboard at 11:10. It was the quickest we've ever been checked in. Sent from my iPad using Forums
mike x ftc Posted June 7, 2017 #10 Share Posted June 7, 2017 We are on same cruise boarding on the 8th Oct and we will be there around 11 ish. Celebrity don't enforce the boarding times (at the moment) unlike some other cruise lines from Southampton. Celebrity are very good at getting you through and on-board swiftly. See you on-board!!
