Bringing my own Mattress Pads...?

Would I bring these carry on, or checked? They are in two plastic bag they came in, compressed memory foam pads. I am going to ask the steward if he can place these on my bed as I have bad back pain in any bed that's not my own (which has these pads).

I don't think it matters whether you check them or bring them aboard. There shouldn't be any problem having the cabin steward put them on the bed. The checked luggage may not get there until later, but in plenty of time to remake the bed.
