Candy Apple 12 Posted June 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2017 We are arriving in Honolulu the day before the cruise and sailing in a suite. What time does the port open? What time can we board the ship? Thank you!
tutuwahineLV Posted June 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2017 well, ya have to wait till the previous cruisers all get off... lol. So, they probably don't start boarding till 11am. I'd say take your time, they don't leave till 7p, and spending the morning relaxing on or near the beach would be much more fun than sitting on a plastic chair in a barn like structure ... We're cruising on the PoA in September, and probably won't head to the pier till noon.
df5250 Posted June 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2017 We sailed in May, 2016 in a Suite. We were on Oahu for four days before the cruise. We arrived at the port around 10:30, checked luggage... I don't recall security, so it must have been quick! We were escorted on the ship around 11 to Cagney's for lunch. Our rooms were ready shortly after lunch so we changed into our bathing suits and hung out by the main pool in lounge chairs for most of the afternoon. Firstin87 Posted June 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2017 We sailed on POA from April 29-May 6 (still need to post a review) and stayed in an Owner's Suite. We had the pre-night hotel, which transported us to the pier the morning of the cruise. We left the hotel around noon, had priority embarkation (which you probably have as a suite guest, as well), and were ushered to Cagney's for lunch after we checked in. Rooms are ready by deck and are not done in numerical order. They announce when guests have access to each deck. We were on Deck 10 and our suite was available around 3:00, but I doubt there is any consistency to the time decks are opened. You'll have a wonderful time!
