Buying Liquor on board to take home

My most recent cruise my friend asked me to get him a bottle of Pure White Hennesy.

No problem there - it was $52 in the ship store and I had cruise credit.

Went on land and saw it for $36 or so in a store.

I took a picture of it with my camera phone.

I showed the Celebrity store person the photo and they refunded the difference.

Just saying if you do buy on ship and see the liquor on land for less just take a picture and they will refund for you.

Princess does the same thing.

The shop owners (especially in St Thomas where liquor prices are usually the cheapest) are getting wise to the tactic so you'll have to be quick or a little sneaky to get a photo. You'll need both the price & size bottle to show in the photo.

I keep a collections of old photo's on file to show the people on the ship. ;);)
