DevonianCruiser Posted June 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2017 Hi We have a GS and OS booked on Navigator in 3 weeks. Only had concierge on NCL before so not sure if it's similar. Do they book come around the rooms to ask what services you want, like booking restaurants etc? We were thinking about Chops on the 2nd night and didn't know whether we need to book this before we go? On NCL we met the concierge before tendering and he would escort everyone off (if wanted), is that similar with RC? When we were in Santorini that was worth getting off early. Also silly question but as my eldest are 18 and 16 I've forgotten, we have a 1 year old, will there automatically be a cot in the room? Or do we need to request one? Many thanks. Clarea Posted June 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2017 The concierge will not likely come around your staterooms asking to book things for you. However, you can go to the Concierge Lounge during their office hours (will be posted in the lounge) and they will be happy to help you there. You can also call them, there phone number will be on a welcome letter you should have in your stateroom when you arrive.
DevonianCruiser Posted June 19, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted June 19, 2017 Thanks Bob That's more convenient. Reason I asked was on ncl he was hardly ever at his desk and preferred to pop around. Different ways on doing things I guess.
spookwife Posted June 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2017 no the concierge does not make personal visits. he is available in the Lodge from like 730-1100 and again during the evening cocktail hour( typically 430/500 to 800/830 ) best you can hope for is maybe an email about a week out giving you an introduction as well as a list of amenities available to you. there is no need to have an escort during tender ports on NAV, she is plenty small enough that you can use the gold sea pass to by pass the line. no there will not be a cot provided, although you can request a pack n play. feel free to ask the concierge when you reply to his email( or, if you do not get one, email him directly.. I am sure someone will point you in the direction of his email address) . you can also request it from the cabin steward if not is not in the cabin when you arrive. the first 2 nights can be crowded esp at prime dining times for the specialty restaurants due to a perk for some Crown and Anchor members. if you are flexible with time, you could wait until you get on board. but if having a specific time frame is important, book online before hand. the Concierge can not do anything you cannot do yourself, although he can make changes happen a lot faster/easier you will get escorted off at disembarkation though, right after self disembark people. separate elevator, bypass the main line. luggage is in a separate section, easier to find. grab a porter if they are available. worth the few bucks in tip. ARCruisinNana Posted June 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2017 (edited) Yes, you should ask rccl or your TA for a Pack N Play for your Suite before you board. Sent from my iPad using Forums Edited June 19, 2017 by ARCruisinNana
cloud_nine Posted June 19, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 19, 2017 On NCL we met the concierge before tendering and he would escort everyone off (if wanted), is that similar with RC? I'm assuming you're on the Med Beaches cruise on the 8th? Villefranche is the only tender port on that cruise but the concierge will most probably escort the suite guests off. I was on Jewel last year and the concierge did the same for suite guests in Santorini.
