Hello,

SW was having good fares so I booked flights for our Jan cruise. We dock at 9 and our flight is at 1:10. This seems like plenty of time, it will be a Sat so traffic should be minimal; but now my OCD self is wondering if I should have booked a later flight. We have FTTF and luggage is only a carry on each. Will we be ok? Thanks!

Do you already have your transportation selected? This is a late debark time, and guess what, everyone is going to want off that ship and ready to go. Even with FTTF, no way are you going to be 'first". So count on being later. I'd allow 90 minutes at the airport, it can be very congested, and then your shuttle time, back this up for when you'd have to leaving. Should be enough time.

No guarantee ever to dock at scheduled time. Rare occurrence, but.... Check Carnival Pride, docking 2 hours later than scheduled due to emergency medical problem of one of their passengers, having to be air-evaced off the ship.

Barring any issues, Diamond self assist usually starts around 8:15a. The nonPriority self assist Starr's around 9. All off is around 10a.

Thanks for the information, barring any unforeseen events we should be ok. I haven't arranged transportation to the airport, we may just grab a taxi and skip the shuttles and Carnival busses for a quicker ride. thanks again:)

I was on a ship that docked several hours late because one of the engines had a problem and we couldn't go fast enough to make it on schedule. Debarkation was a nightmare with everyone frantic to get to their flights on time. They tried to expedite people who had the earlier flights, but pretty much everyone did (or said they did).
