The Islander Posted November 29, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2005 7 minutes one-way for the tram ride. Drinking (depends on how many you have and how long you take to enjoy them and the view). :) --Islander *****

Coolcruise02 Posted December 21, 2005 #6 Share Posted December 21, 2005 Is it $16 round trip or is that one way? At the top can you spend as much time as you want before returning? Thanks
The Islander Posted December 21, 2005 #7 Share Posted December 21, 2005 Thats roundtrip. And yes you can spend as much time as you like (within their hours of operation of course ;), but you can stay for 30 minutes... or the entire day if you want). --Islander *****

How are the lines?Darcy8 If you are going to do it on your own suggest you get off the ship first chance and walk over on your own, Get there before the ship tours. That is what we did and as mentioned above, got right on, and on up the hill. :D
beachchick Posted December 22, 2005 #9 Share Posted December 22, 2005 If you are going to do it on your own suggest you get off the ship first chance and walk over on your own, Get there before the ship tours. That is what we did and as mentioned above, got right on, and on up the hill. :D This is a good idea, but this also depends on what other activities you've got planned for the day. The OP wants to be able to have a drink (or two)--wonderful; try a Bushwacker, we hear they're great up there. The reason we only "hear" that they're great is that we went first thing, but had snorkel excursions planned later in the day. Now I know that some people don't care. However, we take seriously the warning not to mix alcohol with snorkeling or diving. So, while the morning light was spectacular and we had virtually no wait in line, we didn't get to have drinks. Of course, that's a personal call, but it is something to consider. Many people love to end the day there with a drink and the late afternoon view and lighting before heading back to the ship. As always, JMO. beachchick
