When to visit for a first timer?

Just looking into the Mexican Riviera as an alternate cruise destination to Alaska for next year. I'd appreciate any suggestions on the absolute best time of year to visit is? No rain, or sweltering heat!!! Thank you.

From November until the end of April will give you the best weather, although it can be a little chilly in the mornings in Cabo and Mazatlan. The temp is in the high 70's & low 80's in Puerto Vallarta.....rain is rare during those months and the humidity is minimal.

I would agree with gregkn, but I would narrow it slightly to December - March, because I really don't like hot weather. For me hot is anything above 85 degrees, but I know other people who think 90 degrees is mild.

One note: the beginning of your cruise, in California, it will be quite cool, maybe even stormy, but it will warm up as you head south.

As stated ahead of me you definately want to go from Nov. to April. We were down there last year in late Sept. Temps were in mid 90`s and the humidity was about the same. Not a good combination. Just returned from our cruise on the Star, weather was great. Upper 80`s to low 90`s, big difference the humidity was not an issue. Last day at sea heading back to LA was cold, cloudy, could not soak up any rays.
