rosiebee Posted July 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2017 We are coming from the UK and will be doing the Quebec to NYC cruise in September. We have all our visa papers for Canada and USA but are not sure if we have to go through immigration as we pass from one country to another during the cruise. Do you do this as you leave the ship or is it done on board? Thanks
Rare mskaufman Posted July 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2017 I think it varies by cruiseline. I do remember doing it onboard on HAL.

SailBadtheSinner Posted July 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2017 We're cruising with Royal Caribbean..... ..on the Vision of the Seas. The first US port after the Canadian ports is Bar Harbor, Maine which is a tender port. Custom agents will come aboard there for their inspection. No one will tender in until the inspection is complete. SBtS
peter grant Posted July 8, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2017 We cruised Montreal-Boston in June, cleared US Immigration (passport check) before tendering bin Bar Harbour and cleared US Customs (handed in a form) at the terminal in Boston.
