frayedend Posted July 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2017 I've just read a couple of threads about St. Lucia where certain RC ships are going to a different island because St. Lucia is working on the port for bigger ships. Does this affect Fascination? Anyone have any info?
Lovefuninthesun Posted July 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2017 We're on this itinerary in early October -- so far haven't been notified of any changes, but still 3 months out. Guess they could dock in Soufriere if Castries port is out of commission..?
pghsteelerfan Posted July 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2017 Pretty sure the Fascination is still going to go to St. Lucia. During the summer months, Fascination is usually the only ship in St. Lucia on Thursdays and normally docks at Point Seraphine. I have noticed that Fascination has been docked at the other cruise terminal on the opposite side of the bay (across from Point Seraphine) in Castries, so docking there instead of Point Seraphine may be due to the dredging. hishorselover Posted July 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2017 We cruised on Fascination in May and was told by our guide in St. Lucia that the other terminal is under renovation which is why we were docked on the other side. No real issues other than a different scenic route for my second time on this excursion :
frayedend Posted July 5, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted July 5, 2017 Great. Thanks for the replies. I wasn't even aware there were 2 docking places, at least not for cruise ships.
