Eurodam: how do you stay busy on "at sea" days?

Is there such a thing as a cruise with no at sea days ;)?

Not many. You've got the over-nights between Seattle and Vancouver, and on 12/20/17 the N.A. will do a 3-day with stops at Nassau and HMC, so no sea day.

I want to do absolutely NOTHING but sit on my veranda and watch the wake....nothing more :cool:

for me, a sea day is an end in itself. One should listen to the water for a while before getting over involved in activities.

 

There are plenty of ships that cater to the activity-hungry.

A 14 day cruise that leaves port and comes back with no stops would be a perfect cruise for us. We have done 11 TA's and love those 10 or so sea days out of 17. Casino Casino Casino !!!

A few suggestions I haven't seen yet ... ping pong, pickleball, basketball, shuffleboard, choir, and if it floats your boat, bikini watching (more likely monokinis though!).

Looks like the Eurodam runs about 2 at sea days per 7 day segments in Alaska and Caribbean.

 

Alaska sea days are, to us, not really sea days like on our transatlantics were. Alaska sea days are really coastal cruises (especially inside passage areas) with lots to see as well as good chances (for those who are patient and vigilant) to see whales and other wildlife.

 

We were very pleased with the on-demand video system on Oosterdam and could see where on another transatlantic we could easily set aside a time each day to watch a movie. Or if something is playing visit the Screening Room theater for a bigger screen and really comfortable seats (and popcorn!). But our #1 activity is camping out in the Crow's Nest with good tunes on the iPod and a good book on the Nook.
