golferwife Posted July 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2017 Hello. Just got off the five day Anthem today. Had a wonderful time. However, when we got home the Amex bill was $13.00 more than our final invoice. It said it was for mini bar charges, but the mini bar was empty the entire week. When we called the C&A desk (we are diamond plus) , they said they have not received the final invoices yet for our voyage, but we would have to prove we didn't use the mini bar. Sad end to a great cruise. Not sure how to "prove" that Sent from my iPhone using Forums
cruzgryphon Posted July 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2017 This has come up a couple of times before (can't find the links to the other threads). Basically they are charging you for the two large bottles of water (they are likely sloppy in checking your cabin at the end of the cruise to see if you actually used them or not). It has happened to a few of us. Wouldn't bother with C&A desk if they said you would have to prove that you didn't use the bottles of water. Most people have had luck calling regular customer service and having the charges reversed.

Retired LEO Posted July 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2017 They did away with the mini bar some time ago. Now they're getting rid of the 2 bottles of water. If someone wants it they can purchase it onboard and be charged at that time.
riclop Posted July 7, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 7, 2017 They are doing that more and more.
bethleham Posted July 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 7, 2017 Happened to us as well after we disembarked the Anthem in June. Knew to look for it on our credit card bill due to all of the threads here on Cruise Critic talking about the problem. Just call the 800 number and they will remove the charge. You don't have to "prove" anything. They removed it for us with no hassle. It is annoying to have to deal with, though.
