JHU Posted July 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2017 Has anyone taken this evening tour from your ship? Is it too touristy or a nice fun evening. Will be there on the Summit the end of September/early October. Thanks.
Suzi4 Posted July 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2017 Yes, I've done this tour from the Summit. We loved it very much and I would highly recommend this. Great food, wonderful music, rustic shack an a beautiful cool crisp night. That is a amazing cruise itinerary, enjoy!

We booked this for our Summit cruise in October but were a little concerned that it would be too touristy. Thanks!
Suzi4 Posted July 25, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 25, 2017 (edited) I'm not sure of the name, sorry. I thought I had the name, but I don't. Lets hope they haven't changed venues, it's been 2 years, but I doubt they have. Really was a nice evening and the food was excellent. Also locals were there eating, I think that means something positive too. Enjoy!! Edited July 25, 2017 by Suzi4

I was looking at going to that same sugar shack on our own. Can you describe your evening there? Would it be good if not part of a tour?
Suzi4 Posted July 27, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 27, 2017 I believe it would be very easy to do this on your own. The tour offers is a ride with a escorted guide. We got on a bus, guide gave information about the area. We get there and were seated right away. It's a family style dinner with as much as you want. The music was for all to enjoy. It was a french bluegrass/folk type band, they were amazing. We had spare time for frozen maple pops and shopping for maple items. It was a very nice night and a lovely drive. Jolie_Cruiser Posted August 22, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 22, 2017 Not specific to the Québec City sugar shacks but interesting informative read on maple syrup. Here it is: Cruise to Canada, the Port of Trois-Rivières and Pour on the Maple Syrup
