Equinox Eastern Caribbean cruise-excursion questions

Does anyone have suggestions for private excursions? Being August, I would only want to go with an air-conditioned vehicle. Our ports are San Juan, St. Thomas and St.Maarten. In my experience, in some ports there are a line of taxi’s waiting when you disembark. Is this the case in any of these ports and if so, what are the thoughts about safety?

The port is very well organized and sign posted in St Maarten, all the fares are fixed. We walked into town along the very pleasant route and took a bus for $4 each to Maho beach. We took a taxi back to the port for $10 each (shared with another couple)

Those Islands are not "third world countries". You will be fine. They count on the cruise ships $$$ and all transportation will be readily available at the piers.

As mentioned, these ports are organized and I would have no concerns about safety. I can tell you it will be hot and humid in August. Various forms of transportation will be available where you dock.
