Does anyone know where the Westerdam docks? We want to meet up with friends on the MSC Splendida so are hoping that they dock in the same area.

Does anyone know where the Westerdam docks? We want to meet up with friends on the MSC Splendida so are hoping that they dock in the same area.

 

Westerdam will more than likely go to the Dic de l’Oest (west outer breakwater) berth while Splendida, being the larger of the two, will go to the Moll Commerciales berth which is much closer to town. There is a shuttle service that takes you from l'Oest to a spot near the huge Catedral Santa Maria de Palma in town and away from the port however, to visit the Commerciales berth, you'd have to take a cab or hoof it which will be a 35-40 min walk around the perimeter of the harbor

Thanks, that's really useful. Hoofing it will not be an option - think we will arrange to meet them near the cathedral ;)

MSC usually docks at the Estacion Maritima (on the map numbers 29 or 28). The Dique de Oueste is located on the map at number 35 (which is called Estaciton Maritima 6). This is 830 m walking distance to the port exit/entrance. There´s a bus stop (no. 1) which takes you either downtown or to the other piers (it´s two or three stops to the Estacion Maritima). Tickets are sold by the driver but tell him where you want to go as the bus terminates at the airport and there´s a higher fare to the airport (5 Euro) than to any of the downtown locations (app. 2 Euro). The cruise ship shuttle busses go close to the number 12 (South of it where the green stripes are in the map).
