Bid for upgrade if CAS

I received an email from NCL yesterday to bid for an upgrade for my cruise on Breakaway in October but we are sailing under CAS. Does anyone know if the bidding works the same for CAS reservations or do we have to upgrade through CAS reservations only?

It works the same way. We got the upgrade email for our last cruise booked through CAS, made an offer, and it was accepted.

Remember - all NCL is looking to do is to increase revenue. The "upgrade" team really does not care what you already paid. They are just looking for the person(s) that will pay the most to upgrade.
