Grand Suite next to Grand Suite with Extended Balcony?

Hi! We are booked on U104 on Carnival Fascination. This is a Grand Suite, but I noticed it is right next to the Grand Suites with the extended Balcony. Has anyone stayed in this room? Will the view be blocked? Any thoughts? Thanks a ton in advance!

Because the extended Grand Suite Balcony sticks out past the Regular Grand Suite Balcony. It appears to have a wall next to our balcony that would block us from being able to look out forward toward the front. Also this "wall" appears to be angled somewhat. ???

We have not stayed in those cabins immediately adjacent to the extended balcony suites but in looking at photos (one in particular of U87 from the exterior of the ship), it looks like your view forward will definitely be obstructed. The view toward the back (stern) will be clear however. The photo I found was on cruisedeckplans.com but you have to be a member to view photos on that site. :(

I was in this cabin on the Sensation. There is definitely an angled wall mostly obstructing your forward view. I leaned out next to the partition between U104 and U108 and could see some of what was ahead of us. I didn't lean out more because the railing was starting to dig in to my stomach. I also didn't want to fall overboard.

There is also a spotlight(facing aft) where your balcony meets the back of the extended balcony. It was only on at night, but it was only a minor annoyance. You have no control over that light.

One complaint I have about that room is that you can't get to the Lido deck using the midship elevators. My other complaint is that the room is assigned to muster station B. Muster station B stays inside the longest, but it is next to the casino.

Yes, in looking at google images, I would say it does. However, when I am on a balcony, I mostly look down and out to the horizon. This does seem to impede looking forward... seems to be quite a bummer

Thanks for the info!

I wish we could get the Grand Suite with Extended Balcony! We decided to stay in the regular balcony suite with the better view rather than switch to the Grand Suite with the blocked view. Thanks for all the info!
