Anyone taken a Lindblad cruise? We're booked on a 7 day Baja Mexico whale watch cruise January 14. Lindblad provides Aeromexico flight from LAX to La Paz, but we haven't gotten the details as yet.

We took the Columbia River Cruise on the Sea Lion to test the line before taking other cruises on the line and as a result it is not our first choice. We were not happy with the food as compaired, for instance, with Clipper. Both are small ship expidition cruise companies. I know people that have been on Lindblad at least a dozen times and love it. The expidition staff was great- among the tops in the industry.

We took a cruise on the National Geographic Explorer/Lindblad to Slavbard, Norway in July 05. The ship & food was okay, naturalists excellent but we didn't get as lucky with the weather and needless to say that affected our ability to view the wildlife.

I have been on both Lindblad and Cruise West - and prefer the Cruise West experience, ship and dining. Neither are elegant - but Cruise West has more comfort. They have excellent Naturalist guides - but if you are a hardcore nature fan -you will appreciate Lindblad's Naturalists more.
