Vista Muster Station B3 and Accessibility Question

B4 is in the casino, so I would think B3 would be somewhere nearby. Hopefully someone can verify for you though! I also think they normally have a different muster location for people who are handicapped or have mobility issues. Guest services could probably help in your situation, that may make things easier than trying to navigate through to crowds to the correct muster.

I have issues standing for long periods of time. The last time I was on Carnival I notified guest services and received information where to go for disabled people. I would do this when you first board. They even let my cabin mate go with me.

Be certain that you have notified the Special Needs Department prior to your cruise. If you are not in an accessible cabin, they wouldn't know to include your mom in the accessible group.

It is different on different ships. On some ships, we were included in the regular muster drill, but not required to go out to the lifeboats. They made notes regarding DH's disability so that they could provide assistance as needed in case of any emergency. On our last cruise, there was a specific muster area just for those with mobility issues.

Yes, she's in an accessible cabin, so I'm thinking maybe they'll pick her up in a wheelchair instead of her struggling through the crowds with the scooter? I think I'll call ahead of time, thank you

We are leaving this Sunday on the Vista (yay!) and we are traveling with my mom who is accessible with a Scooter..Can she go to the drill with the scooter? And where is it located?

All muster stations on Vista are indoors. When it's time to go to the safety drill, there will be crew members in bright green vests who help people figure out where to go. When you and your mom approach one of these crew members, he/she will tell you where the muster station is located. You will be able to use the elevator since your mom is using a scooter. (I sailed Vista nineteen weeks after knee replacement surgery. My husband and I were allowed to use the elevator to get to our designated muster station.)

No, they will not pick her up in a wheelchair. She is expected to get herself to the muster station just like everyone else. DH and I always leave for the muster station early to avoid the crowds since he is a scooter-user.
