Cruise Critic policy does not permit the posting of complete articles.

The current 102% occupancy figure was certainly interesting, but it's hard to know exactly what that means unless you know how many cabins are being occupied by 3+ persons at a time, and if that's any different than it used to be. Afteall, a ship sailing with half the cabins empty and 4/cabin for those that are occupied would generate the same 100% occupancy rate.

In other words, the body count per sailing is holding at the same relatively high rate, but has the percentage of empty cabins changed at all?

Anyone see any hard core statistics on this part of the business?

Side note: ... which is as it should be. I'm sure that CC doesn't want to get into the middle of "fair use" and copyright issues. If we stick to excerpting articles, everybody stays happy.

Excepting articles can also be a violation of the guidelines which state they don't want large blocks of text copied. Below is the relevant section of cruise critics policy.

The posting of large blocks of text obtained from the Internet, online newspapers, web sites, magazines, etc., defeats the purpose of our Cruise Boards. All of this information is available to everyone online, and doesn't add to the idea of sharing firsthand experiences and cruise advice. Also, the majority of information out there is protected by an author's individual copyright. Therefore, we will remove such information from the message boards. You may LINK via url to the information.

However, Cruise Line press releases are welcome on the boards, if you clearly indicate the source.
