Planning to POSSIBLY combine two tours...one that will concentrate on NZ and the other will go from NZ to Australia (Statendam and/or Sapphire Princess.) Several options for NZ in different months, so would like to know if any months would be preferred for cruising. Do NZ before Australia or NZ after Australia? But like any smallish landmass surrounded by oceans we can have strange weather at any time. AUS is generally warmer than NZ at most times though Tasmania being further south is more like southern NZ climates. Select a cruise that stops at the ports of call you would like to visit, as not all ships stop at the same ports.
