draft beer on MSC ships in Europe

If you've said a MSC cruise in Europe can you tell me how many choices of draft beer were available?

Is it only Heneiken on draft or were there other options in the drink package?

On the two MSC cruises I've been on in Europe, the only draft beer was Heineken.

There are more draught beers in the Brass Anchor on Meraviglia (check out the reviews for photos of lists of the same) - so the answer is: depends on the ship.

They have 3-4 not in each bar but wine bar will have for sure.

As Bea says depends on the ship, in the Inoteca wine bar on Fantasia, there is Murphy's, Amstel and Newcastle Brown on draft. It is Heineken through the rest of the ship

Same we had on Musica and on Divina

Yep, only Heineken :( YUK! The wine bar on Poesia had 4 drafts available, but rest of ship was Heineken only.

Crappy drink package.. very little options and the wine is horrendous!

TMWOOD - upgrade to the premium then if the standard is not to your taste?! The rest of the package is IMO brilliant. We always go for premium now though since last year and getting a taste for the Provence rose wine. Good selection of bottled beers too. We went with NCL who had a more extensive list but most of it was out of stock

Currently on Magnifica. Here's a photo from the Tiger Bar's beer menu showing what's on tap:

 

 

DH tried the Franziskraner but handed it back. He reckoned it was too sweet. My dad used to drink the bottled version (when he cruised with us).

Guinness (a couple of bars)

John Smith's Extra Smooth (a couple of bars)

Strongbow (a couple of bars)

We got pints of Tiger and Franzikaner on The Meraviglia. We used to bring them back to our balcony during the day to drink. The staff were bit weird about the glasses though. They used to make us promise to bring them back to the pub. They reckoned the cabin attendants would throw them away if we left them in the cabin.

Bea, appreciate you're not doing a live blog / Q&A but when you get chance to reply, no rush, what's the smoking situation on Magnifica? is it allowed in the casino like the other older ships?

Smoking is allowed on one side of the casino. Also, I asked about the Black Card complimentary dining on a 2 nighter - the CC reckons you'll be able to avail of it.
