Internet on Equinox

Sailing in a week on the Equinox and noticed the only internet option is unlimited at $224 which seems high. Can someone tell me if they have hour packages on board and any and all options, plus pros and cons? Looking forward to hearing from you! Thanks!:cool:

Yes, it is high. Other options (only available on board):

60 consecutive minutes for $18.99

24 hours unlimited use for $49.00

 

And by the way, that $224 Internet price for your cruise is the pre-cruise price. If you wait to purchase that package on board, then the price will be $249.

The only time we have done minutes of internet was on HAL in Feb. Just an FYI, we would have x number of minutes left after logging out (as shown on log out screen) and 20 or so fewer when we logged back on. We fought this at the front desk a couple times and got some of it (but not all) back. I would take a screen shot or phone picture each time to have proof if this as we didn't think of it at the time. If paying by the minute, you want everything you pay for as they do charge dearly for internet!

Internet on Eclipse is about same as Equinox, a bit slower than back home but much improved from where it was a couple years ago. Had no trouble skyping or streaming. As with all ships connect speed is impacted by how many fellow cruisers are online.
