Combining on-line photos from different web sites

Our cruise critic friends from our Med took some fantastic photos. Although I only took 100 pictures with our throwaway cameras, we now have access to over 3000 digital photos online that were taken by other members of our group. I look at a collection each day.

 

I was wondering if anyone can explain to a fairly computer literate, though digital picture newbie if there is a way to combine all these digital photos into one album. One person used shutterfly, another Kodak, another Yahoo, etc.

 

I was able to just click on the photos from the shutterfly album and copy them to an album of my own. I was also able to go back to a shutterfly album someone had put up last year from our Baltic cruise and copy those pictures with a few clicks.

 

And is this all legal, if you've been given access to the album?
