Safe to take taxis in Grand Cayman?

Is it safe in Grand Cayman to take taxis to places like Senor Frogs and Sea Grape Beach? My husband and I get a little anxious going in taxis in places we are not too familiar with. This will be the first time in GC we have ventured out on our own to do activities without buying through cruiseline.

Taxis are safe and are available from the taxi stand at the cruise ship dock in George Town. A sign with current rates is posted at the dock. You will have to take a taxi or some other transportation to the beach but it is only a few minutes walk to Senor Frogs.

Grand Cayman is a very safe place. Hubby calls it the "Beverly Hills" of the Caribbean. As with any place (including Beverly Hills), keep an eye on your surroundings. Things can happen anywhere, but GC is a place that you can venture out on your own.

Grand Cayman is probably the safest island in the Caribbean with Cozumel being a close second. Beverly Hills of the Caribbean is a pretty good description. As in Beverly Hills, just about everything in GCM is expensive.

I felt safe and they usually wait to put others in with you so you will have strength in numbers... :D

 

I believe Sr. Frogs is walkable though.
