Just Off Liberty today (August24)

Thought I would post my thoughts since I had looked for recent reviews of the Liberty and hadnt found very many prior to our sailing

We live in Florida and the drive to Port Canaveral is a breeze for us. We love the on site parking garage as it is super quick and convenient.

We were booked in an Ocean Suite so had priority embarkation. We got to the port around 11am and were walked onboard at 11:15am.

We went right to Guys as we were hungry and it was so nice to get there before any crowds! That being said we didnt find anything over crowded except breakfast in the buffet the first sea day. OH MY! I have never seen such long lines! We didnt attempt that again.

Our cabin and several of the areas of the ship were showing her age however over all I would not hesitate to say she is beautiful and very clean. The only area I saw needs some swift assistance is that I found public bathrooms with no soap in the dispensers several times.

The service was awesome in all areas. We had the cheers package and never had a problem getting service both at bars and having someone come to us in venues like the comedy club and the casino.

I found the food to be tasty. No complaints as I could always find something I liked.

We had dinner in the Steakhouse and it was superb as always.

We do a lot of cruising so we have seen the shows and they are the same across the line. We did enjoy the PG comedy shows! We also stay on the ship in port and wish they had a few more things going on.

Over all it was a great cruise and we have already booked again. We really love the option of getting away for a few days and this is a great ship to do that on!

On a side note we had issues with loud young adults running and being very loud in the halls all through the night almost every night but I dont blame Carnival for that. Just bad luck in our room assignment. We didnt see rowdiness over all on the ship.

THANK YOU, so much for this review. My family were stuck between Royal or Carnival @ Port Canaveral. The Liberty ship reviews I saw saw rated her low, more than likely due to her age.

 

I cruise frequently too. I also stay onboard during port days. Just for a quick get away...

 

Question: which deck was your cabin on? Maybe I should spend a little more for an upper deck so we won't be disturbed by kiddos running the halls at 2 AM. [emoji56]

Our cabin was on 7 fairly close to the elevators. We always get a cabin close to the elevators but this is the first time we ever had this issue. I wouldnt worry about it. I think it was just bad luck.

Oh! I forgot about debarkation!

It was very well organized! We love doing self assisted walk off and thoiught since this was a short cruise it wouldnt turn out to be as easy as it usually is for us ( because I thought there would be tons more people using it) but I LOVE being wrong sometimes! :-)

We were in line to get off the ship at 8:22am and in the parking garage in our car by 8:45am

We are taking a short cruise on the Liberty in October. I have also noticed a lack of reviews. I get it. Most people aren't motivated to write about it unless they have complaints. So thank you for this. If you have any scans of the daily planners that'd be particularly awesome!

Sorry I dont have any of the planners. I toss them immediately as the Carnival Hub App is the best!!

It allows you to know everything going on at all times including dining and bars

You can go through the list and favorite what you like. It gives you a reminder 15 minutes before the event.

I have already installed it! I like the countdown but I wasn't aware of the reminder feature. That's nice!

Here's a different compliment: thanks for putting the date after your thread title: "Just Off Liberty today (August24) " That makes sifting through the " just off the ___ " threads much easier to identify truly recent reviews. More people should follow your example.

We were on the same cruise and walked by the piano bar almost every night. Never seemed to be very crowded.

Went on the Victory in May. The Liberty is a 5 year newer ship with 2.0. Works for me!
