Every cruise, we purchase $300 - $400 in cruise cash ahead of time. As soon as the cruise is paid off, we buy $100 in cruise cash a month until we have what we think we need (based on length of cruise). We ALWAYS use it and we are not big drinkers or big spenders.

 

$20 a day in the casino X 2 (DH and I), a glass of wine with dinner, cocktail or two each day, one or two pictures from elegant evening....it is very easily spent.

 

And the night before the cruise is over, about midnight, we just go to the KIOSK and check out and get any balance in cash.

 

I simply like it for the ease of doing a bit ahead of time. Walking on board, everything is fully paid and I am on vacation, worry free!

This is exactly why I bought CC ahead of time. I just want the peace of mind in knowing that if something happens at home where my husband would need extra money, that it won't affect my girls trip!!! I am on a 4 day cruise and I know I will spend at least $200 in drinks! I don't operate with credit cards anymore and after having my card compromised on my last cruise while in port in Mexico, I would rather just use cash or OBC when it's possible.

Just purchased some CC for the first time, it does not show up anywhere on my docs like OBC does. Where can we see our CC purchase???

Under your Manage My Cruise. It will show as a Fun Shop purchase at the bottom.
