Cruising from port canaveral 2/4/18-------hotels

I'm cruising from port canaveral on 2/4/18, coming in 3 days early and wondering if there is much to do in area or am I better off getting a hotel in the orlando area? Any suggestions or comments would be helpful.

We prefer to stay in the Orlando area and drive our rental car to PC and drop it off the morning of the cruise; it sort of depends upon who is in your group and what you want to see. Unless you want 3 days on the beach before your cruise I would rent a car and explore FLA - Daytona is not that far away if you are into NASCAR

There is much to experience in the Orlando area. But, there can be a hit on the wallet due to entrance fees, etc. I suggest the OPs decision Orlando vs. PC area may be budget driven. In any case, enjoy.

Orlando is prob best for 3 days prior. It is a massive city with so much to explore and enjoy. Cocoa Beach and Cape area also but most of it can be done in a day or two. Definitely stay in Orlando area for 3 days and go to the port the day of your departure. Not sure if you are coming with kids or not, but there are plenty of options...
