Pool operating hours on Anthem?

Does anyone know what times the pools open and close on the Anthem? Wondering if they are open a little later since the ship holds so many people, I was hoping maybe to go at night instead of during the day?

Once the lifeguards are off duty, the pools close. Reported to be 11pm.

When we were on Anthem in June, we were told certain hottubs were open all night. We went in one night late after 3am.

Hot tubs are different than pools now. The life guards do not handle the hot tubs, so they can be open when the life guards are off duty.

Totally missed that they have certified lifeguards on board now. Had to Google it. Good to know. About time, too, I think.

Info that came up when I googled it indicated that they are trained and licensed. Wouldn't they have to in order to be called lifeguards? Otherwise, they'd just be attendants.

They don't "have to be" anything. They are assorted staff members who have been given some training. What that training consists of, I don't know.

Did a little more research. Under the new lifeguard program implemented this year, lifeguards are hired and trained specifically for that purpose. Positions include Lifeguard Manager, Lifeguard Supervisor, and Lifeguard Staff. Training is being done by Starguard Elite. Personnel completing this program are indeed certified lifeguards.

 

The program began during the last week of February aboard Oasis worth fleet wide implementation scheduled to be completed by the last week of June. Haven't confirmed that it has been completed, but haven't found anything to the contrary.
