Oasis Internet Tip, Surf Only Speed and Cost

I didn't find this info before but now I can share it. According to speed test connecting to Nassau, the download speed of surf only was .49 Mbps and .35 Mbps upload. Good enough for me. The regular price onboard is $12.99, but as a gold member I get 10% off. Also the price does get reduced by one days fee if you wait until the day after sailing to buy it. I was able to use my cell internet into the evening on the sailing day. So I paid $70.15 for surf internet for the trip.

Good info. I was going to purchase for the entire time. But I guess I don't really need it for embarkation day. Might as well save the money. Thanks :)

That surf only connection is almost untenable in 2017. Loading images is a challenge, let alone any sort of video. It's good for text only email and mobile messaging.
