I'll have to tell my friend John (who booked the cruise this time) NOT to ignore any long-distance calls from Florida. 305 area code, I think. :)

 

So, the caller ID doesn't come up "Carnival Cruise" ?? I don't answer ANY phone calls from numbers I don't know (about 10 a day!!)....hope I haven't missed out!

 

I'm not sure what it says nowadays, as it's been years since I've gotten an upsell call. (I now refer to the Arby's parking lot where that fateful call came through as "The Carnival Upsell Fairy Memorial Parking Lot." :D )

 

They should have the Caller ID say "Carnival Cruise Upgrade Fairy." I'd answer that one really fast. :halo:

So I got a call today and declined. $390 for an upgrade from my inside room to Jr Suite on the Imagination. It's only a 4 day so I didn't think it was worth it. Thoughts?

Just got a call this evening! Caller ID did say "Carnival Cruise" with a 305 area code. I almost wasn't going to answer, thinking it might be about a current promotion, but my husband said, maybe it's an upgrade call for our Nov. cruise. Sure enough...at first he offered to move us from our OV on deck 2 to a balcony for $377 (6-day cruise). Once he realized we were Platinum, the additional fee dropped to only $120! Easy decision :)
