elruth Posted September 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2017 Scheduled to go on the Southern Caribbean Jade cruise on Nov 6th-16th. I called today and so far there is no info re: change in itinerary. 2 of the ports are San Juan and St. Marten so I doubt they'll be in good enough shape by then. Is there any place to check online re: possible changes in routes for that cruise?
ashley@cruisecritic Posted September 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2017 Hi there. If you go to Norwegian's homepage and look just below the giant image of the ship, there's a "weather alert" button. Click it, and it will provide you with the latest information. deladypilot Posted September 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2017 Check your MyNCL account. As soon as you sign on there is a white envelope at the top right hand corner. NCL is posting daily there about ships. They are also posting updates on their page under weather advisory Yesterday they posted that we should expect an announcement about sailings in about 2 weeks. We sail November 3rd out of Boston down to San Juan. San Juan did great holding up through Irma but not sure what Maria is going to do to it tomorrow. We shall see. PelicanBill Posted September 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2017 Only the NCL page, your MyNCL pages, and your email. NCL has a message posted that they intended to have new itineraries posted for most cruises within about 2 weeks, but that was before Maria. You already know St. Maarten is out for your trip, now we have to wait and see another week about San Juan. It's not a good situation but the port is protected if the buildings survive and are above storm surge. The question is will the city be ready for visitors or will people and buildings be in survival mode for the next months. Watch Cruise Critic for news of the port after Maria.
