Joebucks Posted September 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2017 As stated, I'll be sailing on the Liberty Oct 22. Should I bring a costume? Will there be Halloween themed activities? What can I expect?
vamartha Posted September 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2017 How long is your cruise? Carnival celebrates Halloween on Halloween. It isn't like Christmas when the decorations are up longer than 24 hours. On Halloween, they will be up when you get up that morning and down when you get up the following morning. And yes, there is a heck of a costume party! If you haven't spent Halloween on a ship, you should! It is a hoot! (Can't wait, we sail in 35 days!) seamusdad Posted September 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2017 I cruised last year on the Liberty from Galveston a 4 day cruise October 27- October 31st. There were Halloween theme parties on that cruise. Carnival is,also advertising Halloween cruises out of California for the entire month of October this year. I would try to ask in a more, specific forum or maybe in a social media page, geared to your cruise or ship if you know who your CD is he/she probably has their own social media page you can ask in . Have a great cruise.

So I suppose it depends on your ship!

Ebpak1174 Posted September 25, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2017 We are on the Breeze from the 22-29, we cruise this week a lot in October due to kids Fall break. We are always off 1-2 days before Halloween. Nothing goes on on the ship for Halloween, but the day we are getting off, they do set up some of the big blow up decorations for those getting on the ship. Captain Possumcatcher Posted September 25, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 25, 2017 This is an excellent question! It just dawned on me that I will be on the Carnival Freedom on Halloween day next year in 2018. Not sure what they do or if I need a costume or not. I will say that I read that Carnival doesn't allow handcuffs or play handcuffs or trick handcuffs or magic handcuffs or weapons or look a like weapons or toy weapons on board so bear that in mind when looking for a costume. I've also heard stories of people getting disembarked for impersonating the staff or wearing navel officer and sailor type costumes. Finally I saw a You Tube video where a guy was cruising on the Carnival Freedom with his wife on Halloween and he showed some Halloween decorations by the Casino and he showed that the bar in the casino was selling discounted Halloween themed cocktails being advertised at the coffee bar outside the casino, but I'm not sure if the millennium atrium bar or the alchemy bar or Scott's piano bar and the Red Frog pub is also making and selling discounted Halloween themed cocktails. Sorry if I burst your bubble. I wish I could have been more helpful.
