cheermomof2girls Posted September 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2017 Sorry, first time cruising RC, we are leaving out of Galveston, do they have staggered boarding, or how to you know your checking in time? With all of my previous Carnival cruises, we pick an arrival time when we book, and I typically get Fast to the Fun which allows us to get there early. Not sure if RC has anything like this? No staggered boarding or FTTF on RC. I'd get to the terminal around 10:30am.

kgm0612 Posted September 25, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2017 I have never departed from Galveston, but from Florida ports, I've arrived at the terminal between 11/11:30 and was on the ship within a half hour. Have a wonderful cruise! Karen
cruzgryphon Posted September 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2017 Just keep in mind that your cabin won't be ready until about 1pm to 1:30pm. So you might get on early but won't be able to go to your cabin.
SRF Posted September 26, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 26, 2017 But you can have lunch. :) Last cruise, we ended up arrive at the terminal (Baltimore) about 10AM (less traffic than expected) and after check in, had to wait about 30 minutes before boarding. Cabins were available at 1PM.
slyster Posted September 26, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 26, 2017 I have found 10:30-10:45 arrival times to be good. By the time, you check in and go through security, they have begun boarding.
jon46 Posted September 26, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 26, 2017 On my cruise in January I'm planning on leaving hotel at 10am 1/2 hour drive to port of Baltimore.
