mocannon Posted September 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2017 Why is this ship freezing inside every bar it was unbearably cold couldn't wear 3/4 of clothes because of it. Dress code in restaurant needs to be adhered to and the staff should uphold and deny access to those who don't follow the rules. No caps no hoodies no beach wear Sent from my iPad using Forums
jenniferandwhatnot Posted September 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2017 LOL, I was on this ship last November. Didn't notice too much what others were wearing to dinner. I'd rather it be a little too chilly and put on a sweater than too hot and unable to do anything about it.

UKWildcatCruiser Posted September 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2017 When were you on it? Im going in a week. Also, not that it matters, but are you British? Maybe you are used to a more formal dinner attire. I tend to agree but as long as they don't smell bad I don't really care. mocannon Posted September 27, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted September 27, 2017 We are British and I don't mind casual dress jeans and a shirt or nice top Carnival do state no caps or sportswear on informal nights but they where in restaurants in formal nights dresses like that I understand it's there choice how they dress but rules are rules they don't break the 5 minute drink rule I would advise you to take a sweater even the staff had jackets on behind the bar Sent from my iPhone using Forums

SadieN Posted September 28, 2017 #11 Share Posted September 28, 2017 Should have been on the Alaska cruise. Almost everyone was covered up, except at the glacier where several decided to join the Polar Bears. Mad Hatters has always been frigid. Warms up a bit when there's a crowd. Rosefloater Posted September 28, 2017 #12 Share Posted September 28, 2017 I never get cold on a ship, but on the Miracle Alaska cruise, there was one section in the YTD dining room that was freezing for the whole cruise. It was located to the right if the hostess stand. We made sure we were never seated in that section. In all of my cruises, I have never seen anyone in beach wear in the dining room during dinner. Computer Nerd Posted October 1, 2017 #16 Share Posted October 1, 2017 I was on the Miracle in July in Mexico and nowhere did I see ice forming on the ship. Or you might be might like my wife where anything below 70 is considered "freezing".
Micahs Grandad Posted October 1, 2017 #17 Share Posted October 1, 2017 We were also just on the Alaska cruise and found it to be comfortable in all areas. Do not remember mad hatters to be cold.
Moviela Posted October 1, 2017 #18 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Thanks, but do they sell it in the gift shop also? I need to bring a few bottles home They sell a six pack for $300. or $59. per bottle. Remember customs allow one bottle per adult.
Lovetocruisefar Posted October 3, 2017 #19 Share Posted October 3, 2017 So I can only buy, one bottle on the ship to bring home?
Computer Nerd Posted October 3, 2017 #20 Share Posted October 3, 2017 So I can only buy, one bottle on the ship to bring home? You can buy as many bottles as you want. You are authorized 1 bottle, per person 21 years and older "duty free". Claim whatever you buy and usually they won't go through the hassle of charging you duty on an extra bottle or two but be prepared to pay the duty on any extra bottles. ETHS1965 Posted October 4, 2017 #21 Share Posted October 4, 2017 We were on the Alaska cruise also. There was one section of the dining room that was quite cold so we did not eat in that section. Other than that, the ship wasn't any colder than other Carnival ships.
