Princess Transfers Livorno to Florence

I think you will be in good shape. I have never taken the Princess transfer but I have made the trip from Florence to Livorno and back again on my own a few times when I wanted to be on the water. That was an easy combination of municipal bus and train service that took perhaps 90 minutes from the Santa Maria Novella station in Florence to the waterfront in Livorno. As an aside-I think the last time I made that trip it was about $18 roundtrip for adults.

You are cutting it too close. Traffic to and in Florence is

a nightmare. You will have to walk at least 20 minutes to

get to the entrance. Princess usually makes a pit stop about

half way to Florence and this can take 20-30 minutes depending on how many buses make the stop and how many ships are in

port. The early afternoon would be much better. The crowds outside are huge and it can be hard to get to the entrance area.

Lots of school children until late July each day.
