Cruising On A Dvd Or Vhs

Hello All: As a first time cruiser, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good dvd or vhs tape that we could rent that told all about taking a cruise? Showing the ship and cabins, showing the different rooms of the ship from dining rooms to casinos to the pools. My DH and I thought it would give us a sample of what is ahead of us if there was something we could view before we CRUISED in January!! Thanks, momrek06:eek:

I myself have presented this question, not getting any luck. I do know at the library they have DVD's on "Cruise the Caribbean" but it isn't on the cruise, but the Islands.

I found this link, I know there may be more. This is for Carnival. you can search what ever line you want.

I am going to do a search on this, and will post my results, unless someone else does first!

AWESOME TEXASFRYE: I will say I caught the last 10 minutes of a special last Sunday on the Travel Channel which went threw the entire SHIP and even showed a few excursions but I did not see it all and that gave me the idea..wondering if there was something out there I could rent. I scrolled forward on my tv remote to see if the Travel Channel was repeating the episode but was unable to find it as a repeat. This I will say was MOST of the SHIP of which I wanted. Well will forge ahead and keep looking and if I see something likewise will let you know:D Thanks, momrek06:D

The travel channel has had several shows about cruiseships I thought were great. Maybe you can e-mail them and see when the cruiseship shows will run again.

I do know disney will send you a DVD telling about their ships and it shows you dinningrooms, pool area, lounges, staterooms etc. It was good but the DVD was pretty much what I had already seen on the Travel channel show about Disney ships-it was still nice to have. It made a nice preview before our Disney cruise last year.

Keep an eye on the Travel channel. They have been showing several shows on cruise ships. of note are the following

Great Cruises - Adventure of the Seas

Great Cruises - Radience of the Seas

Cruise Secrets

Drydock - a ship reborn

The Travel channel reboadcasts these shows several times a year.

You left out the one they do on Disney ships-but you are right-all of them are great.
