BethKel Posted June 18, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2004 We're sailing the 7/11 Golden for our honeymoon. The "Classic" itinerary, I think it is called - St. Maarten, Antigua, Barbados, etc. Is the weather throughout this region pretty consistent from island to island? What about average daytime / nighttime temps? Is it pretty humid? If anyone has this info or a site where I could get it, it would be greatly appreciated! First cruise - 7/11/04 on Golden Princess for our Honeymoon!!

WiscCruiser Posted June 18, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2004 If you check this web site, you can get a good idea of the current weather conditions. Click on the island you are interested in. Also view the satelitte and radar images of the region. Yes, it can be humid. Don't forget the sunscreen, or you'll look like "lobster boy and girl" for all those souvenir photos taken on the ship. Have a wonderful honeymoon cruise. wwinfl91 Posted June 18, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2004 I suspect you are going to be facing hot and humid conditions at most of the ports you are going to. The A/C when you get back to the ship will be especially nice but that shouldn't stop you from making it a great cruise. Just plan on drinking lots of water and using lots of sun screen. Have a great next cruise. cruiselifers Posted June 18, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 18, 2004 We have done many southern cruises and the sun is very hot. You are closer to the equater and even though the temp may be the same as a more northerly island you may not be able to stay out as long because it is pretty intense in the sun. I do not think I am explaining this very well, so I hope I did not confuse you more. Basically I think that becase the sun is closer to you it feels hotter and you get burned much easier!! Hope this helps.
