sunnydd66 Posted October 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Hello all! I hope some of you experienced cruisers can help me out. Heading out of New Orleans this Sunday the 8th, and there is a tropical storm heading that way making landfall Sunday afternoon or evening. We are driving in from SC. Does Carnival contact me if there are going to be any changes? Or do I need to contact someone there to see if everything is still on go? We have been very lucky in the past, always cruising in October and never had this issue before. All help would be greatly appreciated! And Thanks in advance! Markanddonna Posted October 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2017 If Carnival has plans to change any itinerary issues, they can usually be found at the top of their website. You should receive notice from the cruise line also. That said, it doesn't hurt to call. Sounds like your boarding may be impacted. I know someone who is on the Dream now and wonder if any ports of call have been cut. Keep following the path of the hurricane. Maybe a delay in boarding? The Dream skipped Belize today and ported in Cozumel a day early to try and make it back in time to debark on Sunday. I'm on Sunday's cruise too so I'm watching this closely.
