worldtravellerrus Posted October 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2017 we are on the Millie in Feb 2018 from Singapore. The ship is there from the day before we sail. They arrive at 10 a.m. We sail the following day at 7:30 p.m. My question is, because the ship is there for such a long time, when could we expect to board the ship on the day we sail? Rare cruisestitch Posted October 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2017 While some passengers will disembark the day before you sail, most will be leaving the ship the morning of your sailing. Then boarding for your cruise will commence. Boarding for your cruise will probably start around 11 as it does for most cruises, with rooms reading around 1:30 or 2, perhaps a little earlier if many passengers disembark the day before and the stewards have a chance to clean and prepare those rooms ahead of schedule. BSinPNS Posted October 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2017 We began our cruise from Singapore last February and many were disappointed to learn that although we departed at 7PM, all aboard was at 4-ish with the muster drill about 4:30. SIngapore officials had to view and stamp every passport of the new guests before they would clear the ship for departure. There were lot of unhappy folks who had planned to tour Singapore that day. We were tied to the pier with them reviewing passports from 4 to 7.
