jreeves6 Posted October 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2017 Looking for some input on the better snorkeling in Belize...Caye Caulker or Hol Chan? Also what's the difference between the two Shark Ray Alleys (one at Caye Caulker vs one near San Pedro) ? Is one better?
wadethegringo Posted October 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Shark Ray Alley is south of Ambergris Caye and north of Caye Caulker, same place. most tours combine Hol Chan with Shark Ray. Snorkeling in Caye Caulker is Best at the Split. No coral but lots of fish,
jreeves6 Posted October 15, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Shark Ray Alley is south of Ambergris Caye and north of Caye Caulker, same place. most tours combine Hol Chan with Shark Ray. Snorkeling in Caye Caulker is Best at the Split. No coral but lots of fish, I appreciate the response but I'm still on the fence about this. A couple of the tour companies in Belize answered me and said that there is in fact two different Shark Ray Alley locations (one in Caye Caulker reserve and one in the Hol Chan Reserve). Some reviews I've read said Hol Chan is better and the tour company said they prefer Cay Caulker (but they may just be trying to sell the tour).
