beachtoy44 Posted October 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2017 hi I am going on a cruise out of san juan is there any liquor stores in the cruise terminal open before the ship leaves or do I have to go outside the terminal to get some wine thanks
seabeew Posted October 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2017 The wine store in the terminal is open. You don't need to go outside for wine, sodas, or water. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare printingchick Posted October 31, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2017 What about the duty-free liquor store at the airport? Does it have any better selection than the one in the cruise terminal? Would prefer not to put wine in my suitcase on a plane, but would like to purchase a couple bottles of something really good before boarding. There are two grocery stores near the airport called Pueblo and Supermax. We went to Pueblo which had a much better selection than the cruise terminal. I didn't see any wine at the airport, but I could have missed it. We took a taxi and the stop at the market cost us an extra $5.

Clarea Posted November 1, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 1, 2017 Do you know if Pueblo will be open for business on 11/11? No idea, it would probably be best to call them directly a day or two before.

Rare printingchick Posted November 1, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 1, 2017 Hello, Supermarkets are open for business. Regards, Jorge Is wine sold in super markets in San Juan? (Rules are different depending on the state in the continental US.) If so, do most have a decent selection, or not so much?

Bobal Posted November 1, 2017 #12 Share Posted November 1, 2017 Another question (Bob may know the answer). We're doing a B2B Transatlantic to SJ and then staying onboard for the following week. If I get off the ship when we dock in SJ after the TA and buy a couple of bottles of wine in the port, will they allow them for my second cruise or confiscate them to the end of the cruise. The second cruise is a new cruise, so you can bring on another two bottles.
nolimits Posted November 1, 2017 #14 Share Posted November 1, 2017 We've never done b2b but couldn't u just buy wine on board at liquor store and they deliver to your cabin last night of first leg of b2b
Cigar King Posted November 1, 2017 #15 Share Posted November 1, 2017 I have brought extra wine on a B2B a couple of times. They just send me through with it. Not sure I would rely on that. I do think they are generally not very strict on the wine policy as long as you don't go nuts.

We tried to buy liquor after we got off the plane but they would not let us. Only people boarding to head out of San Juan could buy it. This was a few years back so I don't know if that has changed at all.
starrcards Posted November 1, 2017 #17 Share Posted November 1, 2017 We bought our wine in San Juan at CVS. Reasonable selection and price (cheaper than the port). I'm pretty sure Walgreens also sells wine.
