Upgrade advantage from an H9

Here's our deal: had an M6 mini-suite on the Breakaway, made final payment, got the "let's get you upgraded" message.

 

Meanwhile, there was a price drop on the H9, and with added incentives, etc, it made sense for us to just upgrade to that outright because what we were willing to bid and the cost difference in upgrading outright was negligible, and I'm a bird-in-the-hand type of chick.

 

Now that we've upgraded to the H9, we only have the option to bid on upgrades to H4, H3, and H2, even though H7, H6, and H5 have PLENTY of availability.

 

Actually, we can still bid on H7, H6, and H5, but at the mini-suite starting bids, not the H9 starting bids. So they want a minimum of an extra 400$ pp to upgrade to the H7 or H5 and an extra 750$ min to upgrade to the H6. (It's a min of 750$ to upgrade to the H2 and H3 from my H9, which makes no sense).

 

Anyone with an H9 within your "upgrade advantage window" care to share what your upgrade options are? I'm thinking my account got messed up since we upgraded after the bids were open for our sailing.

I booked a H9 on the Epic in January. My upgrade window opened today and I can only bid on the H4 or H2. And the lowest bid on the H4 is $200/person more than it would cost me to just call and upgrade it straight out with NCL. I’ll be sticking with our H9.

Don't forget, if you leave the H9, the spa access doesn't go with you. That could be another $200pp on top of the bid to replace it if you leave.
