beshears Posted November 8, 2017 #26 Share Posted November 8, 2017 I'm glad this question was ask, as we are thinking of doing the Magic next year. As you know, it always HELPS when we know things in advance.:)
Rare willdra Posted November 9, 2017 #27 Share Posted November 9, 2017 If Rev. Dr. E is still the Cruise Director, go to EVERYTHING that he hosts. He will make it worth your while. [emoji23] You will have fun, and be thoroughly entertained. I️f you can catch the Lip Sync Battle from beginning to end, do that too. The Love and Marriage Show is a good activity to attend as well. There’s so much marvelousness, it’s hard to not love The Magic. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Optimusprime2529body Posted November 14, 2017 #30 Share Posted November 14, 2017 Some of my tips: 1- Use the whirlpool that is next to the gym on the Spa deck. It was quiet and mostly not used during the times that I was there. 2- Taste Bar was excellent and a way to get something that I would not normally order. 3- Go to the Blue Iguana breakfast and order everything separate - not in a tortilla. Easy and quick to get a scrambled egg, hash browns and chicken sausage meal! 4- Tandoor was a great meal! I got to know those guys by name 5- We brought thermoses for drinks - my wife prefers water, but not the general water on the ship. It does have a different taste to it. So, the water in the spa and the water from the drink machine aft deck 5 (Tandoor / Pizza bars) became her favorite watering holes. We were considering buying water while on ship. But finding these spots saved some S&S money for my trips to the coffee and cake shop. Also, ask the room steward for an ice bucket. They would fill it with a different type of ice than in the MDR and the water was great!
kchughes Posted November 24, 2017 #31 Share Posted November 24, 2017 All of the above is great advice. Ocean Plaza (Deck 5) will have a light breakfast and light lunch set up between the coffee bar and Alchemy Bar. Cucina del Capitan for lunch. Pig and Anchor has very short hours and only open on Sea Days. Casino bar is a smoking area. Pretty icky for a non-smoker. Ping pong balls get hard to come by later in the week, if that is an issue for you. Red Frog Pub-fun for all ages. Indoor quite are with the family-Library. Catch Dr. E in the lobby at least once (if he is the CD when you are going). Did eastern last Spring Break.. Count down to western Caribbean this coming Spring Break is on!
