Candles

So I’ve made a bit of an error...I bought candles from Bath & Body Works yesterday to take home with me. I’m boarding the NCL Breakaway today and completely didn’t think about candles not being allowed on board. I have no intention of lighting them on the ship.

What will happen to them? Will they confiscate and give me back at end of cruise?

I would put them in my carry on explaining why you have them. Ask them if there is any way they can hold onto them until the end of your cruise if they won't let you keep them with you. Better than them confiscating them or holding your luggage in the naughty room, that you have to wait on your luggage and take time out of your vacation to go and retrieve it.

Personally, I doubt anyone will notice you have them, unless you put them out in the cabin.

I would not bring it up at all. If you do, they will either take them, or hold them, for sure.

If you do not tell the rent a cops scanning the bags, they most probably will not even see them.

Just to update, now on the ship with my candles! I did point them out to security and was told they would be fine, no questions asked after that!

Thanks for the help guys

Surprised they said okay. After all, what prevents any passenger from lighting them? (other than fellow passengers throwing them and culprit overboard)
