The CDC's numbers only include the number of deaths, plus those hospitalized, plus those treated and released from known suicide attempts. So, you're right, there must be many that go unreported or are reported as accidents. All of which make it suprising that there are not more attempts at sea. I wonder if a "missing" pax leaves a suicide note, do the cruiselines report this in a different manner? Or at all?
