Barb Nahoumi Posted November 24, 2017 #26 Share Posted November 24, 2017 My thoughts as well, but remember many of the newer cruisers do not remember the days of ships being considered large if they held 1500 people. I guess to them our view of "mid sized" seems small. Who would have guessed 20 or so years ago there would be ships holding 5000 people sailing? ;p;p l Even the Titanic could accomodate over 2000. Imagine that in 1912.

megansdad1 Posted November 26, 2017 #28 Share Posted November 26, 2017 I was worried about the same thing. But I Love the ease of sailing away from so close to home. And I loved the dawn the 1st time, so we booked in again.
ACKGAL Posted November 27, 2017 Author #29 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Seems like the bigger ships have stuff for kids that we empty nesters might not be interested in . . rock climbing walls, water slides, bumper cars, and so on. I have taken larger ships many times and i hate the crowds.
