Cristaltips Posted November 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Just off Ventura. They seem to be only serving the pre dinner nibbles in Metropolis now. Doesn’t really bother me as my waist line will thank them but when did they go and is it on all ships?
Jennizor Posted November 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Nibbles were served every night in the Blue Bar on Azura in May. Obviously that doesn't mean they will be served when we sail on her again in February, but I hope so.
Scriv Posted November 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Nibbles and lovely canapes in Magnum's Champagne Bar on Oceana in October...

Jennizor Posted November 25, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 25, 2017 The nibbles tend to be nuts and savoury biscuits but as Scriv said canapés are sometimes served. These can range from little pastries with various toppings and sometimes we have had some tiny sandwiches with various fillings. Usually they are very tasty but occasionally they have been a bit soggy. To be honest, you don't want too many as you have your 3 to 5 course dinner to look forward to. Britboys Posted November 26, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 26, 2017 I think they serve them in the ship's 'premium' bar - so on Oriana & Aurora, that is Anderson's. From memory, on Formal nights they serve canapes and on other nights, things like vegetable crisps.
mandylennon Posted November 27, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Never knew this was offered, so thanks for the information, you learn something new about cruising every day. On our next cruise (the 8th with P&O) we are cruising with family members and will probably have a drink before our meal.
seapals2 Posted November 27, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 27, 2017 Just off Britannia .. the Crows nest have the usual pretzels and tiny snack bites in a bottle .. stops people putting their hand in a dish. Other bars offer similar except the Glass House bar which doesn't have any, probably because they have the small plates tapas type food on offer. Crows nest said they no longer serve canapes pre dinner.

Vegetable crisps, reminds me of seeing someone in a very upmarket hotel bar reaching for the "vegetable crisps" and getting a mouthful of pot pouri instead. Hard to keep a straight face.
