Nhsaltshaker Posted December 2, 2017 #26 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Princess is buying the satellite service from the same company that supplies Voom to Royal Caribbean. (SES Networks) http://www.seatrade-cruise.com/news/news-headlines/carnival-corp-touts-new-wi-fi-with-partner-that-owns-rcl-s-voom-provider.html That's great news. I couldn't believe how fast Voom was. Better than at home.
Rare Dolcevita Diva Posted December 3, 2017 #27 Share Posted December 3, 2017 Just off the Royal (11/30) and unfortunately had to work and transmit/receive some files during the cruise. The Internet Cafe manager told me that next year the internet on the Royal will be "4 times as fast." The new pricing plan mentioned will be quite welcome. satxdiver Posted December 3, 2017 #29 Share Posted December 3, 2017 I am glad to hear about the initial reports. Luckily I am retired and only need to take care of personal business every so often. Nothing that can not wait.

pmm0317 Posted February 11, 2018 #31 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Gulp!! We will be on a cruise for 30 days. $10 PER day. does this mean I will have to pay $300?? Does this $10 per day apply to other ships? We will be on Emerald Princess.
