Mark Posted December 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2005 It seems that there has been a recent shortage of reliable information on the fate of the Norway. Does anyone have any new good reliable info to offer us Norway fans? If so, please do!
kwadley Posted December 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2005 Mark - you might want to follow this link and see if it helps you. There are a lot of knowledgeable people there. Also, lots of links for pictures of the Blue Lady. If you can't find the links I would be happy to post them for you. Good Luck!! Baitman19 Posted December 14, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2005 I was just on the Dawn and spoke to our cabin steward, Edguardo, who has worked for 20+ years for NCL and worked on the Norway. He says it may become a floating hotel in, I think he said Asia. Happy Sailing, Monty
Globaliser Posted December 14, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2005 The short answer, I think, is that there is no new news. She duly arrived at Port Klang, despite the cynics' scepticism, and has been there ever since. A couple of weeks back, there was a report that she was sighted from Changi airport, said to be at sea and under tow. This caused speculation about where she was going to be refurbished/converted/broken. But the report has been expressly denied by Star Cruises who say that she is still at Port Klang. I believe that that cannot be a lie, as she must be very visible there. There was a further rumour a few days ago that she will be shortly be sold to breakers in Shanghai, but that is probably nothing but speculation.
